How measles wipes out the body's immune memory
A recent study shows that measles wipes out 20-50% of the antibodies against an array of so many viruses and bacteria hence depleting t the victim's immune systems. The measles ravage body must now learn to protect the body against other diseases and infections. The research is aimed at encouraging more children to get immunized against measles as this will help them in the future in not contracting the condition. Over the last two years, it has been found that the measles vaccine works in two ways. First, it protects the well known acute illness that comes with a headache. Secondly, It protects from other infections that may occur as a result.
Some researchers suggest that this vaccine gives a general boost to the body's immune system. Others suggest that the virus has the possibility of impairing one the body's immune memory. They further explain it causes immune amnesia. By providing the correct vaccination. It prevents the body from losing the resistant mind and also makes sure that it is healthy to fight other infections. Past results show that in case of measles attack a child, then its impact may last for about two to their years before it gets done. However, many scientists still debate if this phenomenon is correct with many questions like is amnesia real arising from the debates. (Dunchen, 2019)
Also, some researchers from Harvard University have come up with an answer to such questions. Reporting on the 31st of October, they said that the measles virus has the ability to wiping out more than 11-73% of the total antibodies in the body of an infected victim. (Dunchen, 2019) Thus if somebody has another infection and gets to contact measles, then the rate of antibodies in the body will be low at this moment. This, therefore, means that recognizing another disease while infected with measles is an arduous task. This study is the first to explore the dangers of the measles virus and, therefore, pieces of advice that the use of vaccination is essential.
They go ahead to explain that measles does not only cause the loss of memory but has many other impacts on the body too. Measles reduces the number of pathogens in the body, making the body immune system weak. Thus, many other infections can easily be contacted in the body. They, however, go ahead to explain that measles is a contagious disease that has killed over 2.6 million peo0ple over the years due to tom ignorance of not taking the vaccination. Other than that, due to refusal by different communities on the use of the vaccine, it is calculated that it will kill more than 7 million [people in the next three years. This can be controlled through mass education to various communities about the diseases. (Dunchen, 2019)
The above article is fundamental as it teaches multiple people on the importance of getting a vaccination of the virus. Some so many people are normally ignorant and do not understand the benefits of taking a child to get immunized against various diseases. Through this article, it makes them know the dangers of not taking a child for vaccination. Other than that, it outlines the impacts that will lead to a child not being vaccinated as it will make them lose memory.
In conclusion, it is essential to have a child being vaccinated. Secondly, there should be various means of educating people about the importance of getting immunized. The traditional norms should not deter people from getting immunized. Some communities still believe that the use of vaccines on them is wrong according to their culture. These communities should always be taught to embrace the behavior of getting children immunized against measles.
